Short Elective Course: Understanding Emerging Markets
Each module on campus comprises 33 contact hours, taught from Monday through Thursday, from 9 am to 6.30 pm. Students have 75 minutes for lunch and two short breaks during the day. An orientation program and city tour are offered to new participants each Sunday. Students are expected to attend at least 80% of lectures and to pass a mini test and final exam in each module.

- Cost: $100 Program fee, payable to UTDT
- Credits: 2 per course
- Slots: 10 per course
Details for Patagonia Leadership Trek: Patagonia on Foot IMPORTANT PROGRAM INFORMATION
- Cost: $2295 (for trek and program) to be confirmed. Hotel and flight extra.
- Credits: 2
- Slots: 8 (need at minimum 16 participants from all partner schools in total and no more than 25) . Again, this course will be offered to other business schools as well.

FT MBA students may combine courses in Argentina and Chile. For 2 courses, expectation is to return with 4 credits and take a weekend class in Mod 3. For the 3 elective course combination (6 credits), students do not need to return to Kenan-Flagler for Mod 3 and are free to continue travel and return for Mod 4.
